The apple doesn't fall far from the tree...
It is told that Ishmael, Abraham's illegitimately conceived first born son, was an unruly child in his early years. He treated his younger brother Isaac cruelly and with bitter harshness. He was disobedient with his parents and being concerned for Isaac's safety Abraham cast his concubine Hagar and her son Ishmael out, ordering them never to return. God watched over this single mother (Hagar) and her troubled child (Ishmael) and promised that many people will descend from Ishmael and would form great nations. But God also warned, that the descendants of Ishmael would inherit his disposition; his nature and his character. And His word was true, the history of the Arab people is one of violence and extreme prejudice especially towards the Jewish people (descendants of Isaac). They are mankind's burden for the sins of Abraham.
